Picture Acquisition Methods

Eye Trax solar powered wireless outdoor security cameras provide three methods of acquiring pictures. In order to modify or change these settings, the End User is required to be logged into the User Interface through and web browser or our mobile phone application. The three methods of picture acquisition include:

  1. live image capture
  2. motion activation
  3. automatically / timed interval

Live Image Capture

At any time, a User can request a live image from the outdoor surveillance camera and depending on the available bandwidth the picture will arrive between 30 – 90 seconds back to the User Interface.

Motion Activation

Each night vision security camera is available with a motion sensor that measures changes in ambient thermal activity in the motion activated camera field of view. This type of thermally activated motion detection is the most accurate way to determine a threat, which typically includes human activity or a vehicle present. Both humans and vehicles emit a thermal signature that is visible to the motion sensor. The motion sensor will not create false activations by the wind blowing trees or trash because they do not have a heat signature.

Settings

The Burst Mode is best used in high security situations where every picture is of most importance. Once the motion activated camera is triggered it will automatically take 5 pictures and immediately start sending them one at time. This sequence will not re-activate until all pictures have been sent over the cellular network. Sending time varies from every location due to bandwidth availability and typically takes 2 to 4 minutes to complete.

The 5, 10, and 15 minute modes are best used in semi secure situation where motion is common and the End User Simply would like to know when activity is present and when the activity stops.

Automatic Timed Interval

Each outdoor surveillance camera can also be placed into and automatic picture acquisition timed interval. Once the desired timed interval is sent to the remote surveillance camera it will commence that timed schedule until this command has been changed again.
