Eye Trax is the leading provider of solar powered wireless outdoor security cameras in the world! Our innovative design and features allows anyone to perform surveillance and security ay anytime without the aid of a professional installation company.
Prior to founding Eye Trax, owner Jerry McSorley, a New York native, owned a residential construction and land development operation. After working many years within the construction industry, he needed a more efficient way to monitor his multiple construction sites while managing the daily operations in the office. Combining his Mechanical Engineering degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology and his many years as a business owner, and the need of security and surveillance on his construction sites, he came up with the idea of inventing a new and innovative surveillance camera for people who shared his own needs. In 2007, Eye Trax, Inc. was founded and launched its first solar powered cellular security camera to the public in 2011. Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, the company has become one of the quickest growing technologies of its kind by expanding on a global scale. This global expansion is due to the fact that all that is required by the solar powered wireless outdoor security camera system is a cellular signal. Due to the demand of the public and competition between the cellular providers, a cellular signal can be found just about anywhere in the world and increasing coverage every day thus making the available deploy locations for our solar powered motion activated security camera systems increase on a global scale.
What makes Eye Trax products stand out from those of competitors is that they are the only truly solar powered wireless outdoor security cameras on the market. This is accomplished by utilizing the cellular network in order to transmit pictures and the sun to power the solar panel which keeps the internal battery charged for indefinite outdoor security camera operation. This design eliminates the need for the infrastructure of a computer, phone line, internet connection, routers, and power, which is required for the traditional wireless outdoor security cameras. This makes Eye Trax’s remote security camera systems an inexpensive reality to everyone in the world.
The 7in long-range antenna on each cellular security camera picks up cellular signal in places that average cellular phones would not due to its range of network absorption. Eye Trax utilizes this cellular network to transmit acquired pictures; which are immediately delivered to your cellular phone as a txt alert, email, or custom web-based software camera controller called the "User Interface".
The small (14in x14in) light weight solar panel tops off charge on the internal batteries of the wireless outdoor night vision security camera system giving the system the availability to run indefinitely day and night. The internal battery in the motion activated camera can last up to five days of operation without being charged by the solar panel and the system will email warn you if power is in lower levels giving the End User ample time to make adjustments.
Equipped with a passive infrared motion sensor, the wireless outdoor surveillance camera can now perform security as a motion activated camera system. The passive infrared motion sensor measures changes in thermal activity in the camera viewing area which is typically triggered by a human, vehicle or large animal. A passive infrared sensor creates an invisible thermal grid in front of the night vision security camera viewing area. Once this thermal grid is disturbed with an introduction of a new thermal profile, the solar powered security camera will trigger and in less than half of a second and start taking pictures. All pictures are then immediately sent over the secure cellular network to the Eye Trax cloud based servers, or sent as a TXT alert to any mobile phone with a location, time and date located on the pictures.
The motion activated camera is paired with infrared lighting that is invisible to the human eye but can be seen by the image sensor located inside the remote security camera. The pairing of these features allows for the motion activated night vision camera to never miss an event of human or vehicle activity within the viewing area.
The weatherproof housing of the remote security camera is an aluminum (5.5” x 11” x 4.5”) and is rated to operate in a temperature range of -10˚F to 140˚F.
The User Interface that is available as a Mobile Phone App is a web-based software that archives all acquired pictures delivered by the solar powered outdoor surveillance camera by camera location, date and time. From the User Interface or Mobile Phone App, an End User can modify the picture acquisition rates and methods for the outdoor surveillance camera. There are many interactive features on the User Interface including:
Eye Trax will send your wireless outdoor surveillance camera with an active SIM card pre-installed and pre-configured to the cellular provider in your outdoor camera deployment area. The solar powered wireless security camera system can be installed in four easy steps:
